Computer-aided design is now widely used for colour and pattern in consumer textiles, but has not been much used for the structure and mechanics of technical textiles. The 20th Century saw major advances in academic understanding of the structural mechanics but industrial application has not been easy.
TexEng Software Ltd is a software company dedicated to providing tools that are easy to use, which simplify and speed up common tasks and communication, and open the way to mechanical and other design predictions for technical textiles. Other activities are consultancy on technical textiles, especially 3D fabrics and their applications, and the organization of conferences.
